Program Information

Kalyna Kids offers a number of programs to our families. Please see our Program Handbook under the Registration menu for more information on program details and family participation requirements.

We are flexible and are happy to work at finding a programming schedule that works best for your family.

New registrations all year, space permitting. Especially for Playschool, you can start your child when they are ready. We have many families that start in the middle or even the end of the school year to introduce their child to our program in preparation for the next year.
All-day Playschool hours that match school-aged child hours.

SCHEDULING INFORMATION

We are CLOSED on the same major holidays as school: Christmas Break (2 weeks), Spring Break (1 week), and summer (July and August).
We are not a daycare and do not offer daycare hours.

Program Options

Playschool (PS)

Classes for designed for 3 to 5-year-olds.
4 days attendance, with school-day hours. Addition of Thursday mornings if space is available, and early-morning drop-off option.
Although we require family assistance to help run our program, there are no in-class duty days - we find a job that works with your schedule.

Kinder Playschool (KPS)

Part of our Playschool program, designed to offer full school-day hours for kindergarten children, with programming to enhance their kindergarten learning.
Morning OR afternoon program options. Addition of Thursday mornings if space is available, and early-morning drop-off option.
Although we require family assistance to help run our program, there are no in-class duty days - we find a job that works with your schedule.

After School (AS)

Affordable programming for Kindergarten to Grade 6 students.
Includes early dismissal on Thursday afternoons and attendance on PD days.
No family participation requirements.

Kinder After School (KAS)

Our KPS and our AS programs combined to offer kindergarten children an extended all-day experience.
Both the features of our KPS program and the features of our AS program apply.
